Why 8BLISS by Belinda?

8BLISS started at a time in my life when I was between jobs and, to be completely honest, wasn't really sure what I wanted to do next.

Sometimes you get to that point where you think, Okay… what now?

I'd always been told I was creative, and I definitely had plenty of ideas — I just didn't know where to start or how to bring them to life.

I can't draw and I'm definitely not a painter, but I could picture things in my head. I knew what I liked, what made me laugh and what I wanted something to look like. I just needed to find a way to turn those ideas into something real.

And that's really where 8BLISS began.

Finding my creative side

Having some time between jobs gave me the chance to explore something completely different.

I started playing around with ideas for T-shirts, mugs and other products. One idea became another, then another, and before I knew it I had dogs doing ridiculous things, cheeky sayings, Australian-inspired designs, beautiful florals, nature-inspired collections and all sorts of ideas appearing on my screen.

It turns out everyone who told me I had a creative side might have been onto something!

And yes, AI helps me bring my ideas to life

I've never been able to draw what I can see in my head, and that's where AI has been amazing for me.

I'm quite open about using it.

AI helps me take an idea and turn it into something visual, but the idea doesn't start with AI — it starts with me.

The ideas, sayings and concepts are mine. I decide on the look, the humour, the colours and the feeling I'm trying to create. I'll change things, redo them, pull them apart and sometimes completely start again until I'm happy with what I see.

Some designs come together quickly. Others definitely don't!

AI has simply given someone who couldn't draw or paint a way to finally bring all those ideas to life.

So, what is 8BLISS?

I don't want 8BLISS to be just another online store filled with things you've seen a hundred times before.

I want it to have personality.

You'll find funny and quirky designs, dogs and animals, Australian-inspired pieces, beautiful nature designs and sometimes something that's there for no other reason than it made me smile.

My range includes T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, mugs and scarves, with designs that can be worn, used and enjoyed as part of everyday life.

Some will make you laugh. Some are a little cheeky. Some are quieter and more beautiful. And some you might look at and immediately think, Yep, that's me.

That's exactly what I want.

There's a real person behind 8BLISS

8BLISS is a small Australian business, and there's no huge company sitting behind the scenes.

There's me.

I'm the person looking at a design and thinking, Nope, that's not quite right.

I'm the person changing something for the tenth time because one little detail is annoying me.

And I'm also the person who gets genuinely excited when somebody chooses one of my products.

When you're growing a small business, an order isn't just another number popping up on a screen. Someone has looked through everything available online and chosen something you created.

That's pretty special.

Why buy from 8BLISS?

You can buy a mug anywhere.

You can buy a T-shirt anywhere.

And there are certainly plenty of hoodies, sweatshirts and scarves out there.

So I'm not going to tell you that you need to buy mine.

What I hope is that you'll buy something from 8BLISS because you connect with it.

Maybe the dog reminds you of yours. Maybe the saying makes you laugh. Maybe you love the colours or the flowers. Maybe you've found a gift that reminds you of someone, or maybe you simply want something that's a little different.

That's what 8BLISS is about.

Creativity, personality, humour and finding a little bit of joy in everyday things.

What started during an uncertain “What am I going to do now?” stage of my life has turned into something I never really expected — a place where I can finally use that creativity everyone kept telling me I had.

I'm still learning, still creating, still changing my mind about designs — and still discovering where all those ideas might take me.

And I think that's part of the fun.
